MASCOT UPDATE

6/10/15

Poole Speedway have been overwhelmed with the response to the advertisement to be their  2016 "Darcy Bear" mascot and would like to inform all those that have expressed an interest in undertaking the role that the club will be in touch with them shortly.

Poole boss Matt Ford said "I was staggered by the number of people who made contact with us after the recent article on our website, so much so that we have decided to find 'Darcy Bear' a mate and I can reveal today that at the Darcy Benefit meeting we will have the first public showing of both. Along with Darcy Bear we will have a Mouse design and we will be running a competition to name Darcy's buddy.

"With two vacancies to fill and with such an encouraging response we might well go for a 'team' of volunteers so that we can operate a rota system and I would like to assure those that have submitted their applications already that we will be in touch shortly to discuss their credentials"

Darcy Bear and his Mouse mate will be in attendance at tonight's meeting.
