PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Sweden's Andreas Jonsson won his second ever Nordic Grand Prix, his 9th title and his first one since 2011 when he claimed victory in an incident packed 10th round of the series - the first in the history of the Grand Prix that series leader Greg Hancock has missed.
But despite his absence due to the hand injury sustained in Gorzow, Hancock still leads the series although now by just 7 points from defending champion Tai Woffinden who rode through the pain barrier to score 7 points which included a race win at the expense of Jonsson..
Poole asset Krzysztof Kasprzak boosted his chances of a championship medal with a second successive third place whilst wild card Peter Kildemand finished runners up.
A semi-final disqualification for Nicki Pedersen halted his chances of overhauling Woffinden in the standings and he now trails Hancock by 11 points, as the championship heads for it's final two rounds.
Chris Holder reached the semi-finals scoring 9 points from his heats but a third place behind Kildemand and Kasprzak in the first sem-final ended his evening.
Still under suspension and ineligible to ride Darcy Ward's absence meant he has now dropped out of the top 8 standings.
