PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Poole's exciting young Czech rider Vaclav Milik appears to have escaped with just severe bruising to his hand, examinations have revealed today.
Vaclav had to sit out most of the Poole v Eastbourne entertaining fixture on Wednesday evening after crashing heavily in heat 6. Amidst fears of a broken hand, Milik decided to seek out medical opinion back in his homeland and after tests today (Thursday) he has been diagnosed with the lesser damage of bruising.
He has been advised to rest the hand to help its recovery although the eager youngster is determined to be back racing as soon as possible and is hoping to declare himself fit for the Pirates final two away matches which occur next week on Monday (at Coventry) and Wednesday at Leicester.
Meanwhile the Pirates reign as league leaders was short-lived following King's Lynn trouncing of the Leicester Lions - 39-51 - on Thursday evening, the Stars now taking a 4 point hold at the top of the table.
