Poole Speedway are urging fans to be part of a special photo-shoot at the Stadium this evening (Monday)
The 2015 'Ready Power' Pirates will be in the forefront of the shot but the Poole promotion are inviting all fans to join in and 'rise' from bends 1 and 2 to produce a sensational backdrop. "It is a special photo-shot we are doing for the Speedway Star" said Poole boss Matt Ford "and it would be great to see masses of Pirate fans in the shot, something I dont think we have ever done before."
The Poole management have also confirmed that all riders in the Pirates v Robins fixture will, during an extended interval, go amongst the crowd with buckets as the club holds a track collection in aid of the injured Darcy Ward. "He means so much to both clubs that it is only right we have a collection tonight" said Matt Ford and urged "we know that many people have donated to the fund already and also purchased posters and even the latest merchandise, but I would just ike to think that we can all dig deep into our pockets tonight and try to bolster the fund even further.
"Darcy is receiving the best possible care and nursing but that comes at a price and so every little amount that we can raise will be highly beneficial. I can't stress enough that no amount is too small."
Poole are planning a special meeting to be held for Darcy's benefit - one of a number being organised across the globe with Gillman Speedway (Australia) planning a big event on November 7th - the night after the FIM U21 Team Final is held at Mildura.
