PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Ahead of the top-flight meeting against Swindon on Wednesday, Poole are monitoring the condition of Kacper Gomolski who is undergoing physio treatment in Poland today.
Poole boss Matt Ford advised "Kacper has contacted me and advised he is in a fair amount of pain after he aggravated a knee injury whilst riding in Poland. He is seeking medical advice and getting treatment but it is something we will need to monitor closely."
22 year old Gomolski returned his best league score for the Pirates last week with a 10 point haul over Belle Vue and should he be forced to withdraw from Wednesday's fixture against Swindon the Pirates will find it hard to adequately cover for him.
Heading into Wednesday's meeting the Pirates occupy top spot in the Elite League, a single point clear of Coventry who are also in midweek action with a trip to fellow play-off candidates King's Lynn.
As well as their home fixture against Swindon the Pirates also have a trip to Lakeside on Friday to contemplate.
