Danny Ford has called on his Pirates septet to prepare for the SGB Premiership play-offs by ending King’s Lynn’s unbeaten home record.
Ford watched his title holders slump to a disappointing 49-41 home reverse against Wolverhampton on Thursday.
But a win against the Stars at the Adrian Flux Arena tomorrow (7.30pm) would keep alive the Pirates’ hopes of finishing top of the Premiership standings.
Ford said: “Obviously King’s Lynn can’t now make the play-offs, but they are unbeaten at home and they’ll want to protect that.
“If we want to be successful in the play-offs then we’ll need to perform home and away, so I want to see a really strong performance in Norfolk tomorrow night.
“We’ve got three meetings left, while Swindon have two and Wolves and Ipswich have one, so finishing top is still well within reach.
“But we’ll need to perform better than we did against Wolves on Thursday and I’m confident we will.”
The Stars welcome back British star Robert Lambert, who returns after missing their past four home meetings with a back injury, while Nicklas Porsing is back at reserve.
Stars: Robert Lambert, Michael Palm Toft, Erik Riss, Thomas Jorgensen, Craig Cook, Lewis Kerr, Nicklas Porsing.
Pirates: Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nicolai Klindt, Josh Grajczonek, Jack Holder, Thomas H Jonasson, Ricky Wells.
