PIRATES DISPLACED

22/06/15

Poole were displaced at the top of the Elite League on Monday night when Coventry Bees secured an away draw at Belle Vue.

Collecting two points for that result the Bees moved two points clear at the top of the table and despite having ridden two more matches they have laid down the gauntlet to the Pirates whose next port of call will Belle Vue, when they return to team action again on Monday 29th June.

By that time the Pirates make that trip north they could find themselves further behind their midland rivals as Coventry host Belle Vue on Friday night, Both sides have distance between themselves and third placed King's Lynn as the season has now reached it's halfway stage.

One positive to come out of the Bees' result is that Poole reserve Paul Starke, covering for James Sarjeant who was injured at Poole, scored paid 7 for the visitors.
