PIRATES DECLINE PREMIERSHIP KO CUP INVITATION
Poole Speedway has made the decision not to participate in the 2025 Premiership Knockout Cup. While the invitation was both unexpected and exciting...
Pirates’ Dakota North and Paul Starke each pocketed a share of a £1,000 cheque presentation from the Riders Equipment Fund ahead of last Wednesday's meeting at Wimborne Road.
They were handed £500 each before the action got underway against Leicester as R.E.F. members Alan Stickland (to North) and Alan Boon (to Starke) made the presentations during the pre-meeting parade.
REF Secretary, Stan Vatcher, explained, “This is the third such presentation of this magnitude this year, having already given a similar amount to Kyle Newman. It is only through the support and generosity of all our members that we are able to provide our riders with these bonuses and help out with the ever increasing running costs. "
"The members are all dedicated fans and can be proud of their efforts, particularly those who attend our winter events as well as making a monthly commitment to the fund. The riders are always full of praise for them and are truly grateful!”
The Riders Equipment Fund membership is a flourishing group of Pirates fans who enjoy giving the riders a boost. Anyone wishing to join and commit to a small monthly donation should contact Stan on 01202 691143
