Poole captain Maciej Janowski has been ruled out of the Pirates home meeting against Blee Vue on Wednesday (29th April) and will also miss the lub's Bank Holiday trip to Wolverhampton after it was revealed he has two broken bones in his knee.
The 23 year old Pole damaged the knee during a racing incident at Coventry on April 10th and although has ridden subsequently, he has been troubled with pain. So he sought further medical opinion and it has been revealed that two bones in the knee have been broken and could face up to 10 days out of the saddle.
Poole boss Matt Ford said "this is a massive blow for us as a team and devestating news for Magic. He has known the knee hasnt been right and took himself off to the hospital today to get if further checked over. That was how the breaks were discovered and diganosed and so we will be without him for our home match against Belle Vue and he will certainly miss the away trip to Wolverhampton (May 4th).
"He has told me he will evaluate the situation ahead of next Wednesday's but there is a strong likelihood that he may be forced to miss that one too. At short notice we have been able to call in Richard Lawson again to cover against Belle Vue and I can only wish Magic, on behalf of all connected with club, a speedy return to fitness."
