PIRATES PROGRESSING WITH VISA ISSUES

18/02/15

POOLE SPEEDWAY would like to reassure supporters and followers that they are at the forefront of discussions with the UKV&I and are the first club to have been granted a new Migrant Sponsor Licence.

Following an application made at the beginning of February, and a successful compliance inspection last week, the licence was granted on Friday 13th February and the first certificate of sponsorship (for Chris Holder) was produced the same day.

The Poole management have praised the UKV&I for their helpfulness and cooperation throughout the process which has now reached a satisfactory conclusion for all concerned.

All sponsor clubs voluntarily surrendered their licences at the end of January following a number of issues in regard to processes and recordkeeping.

After guidance in these matters, these issues have now been resolved and a more robust system is now in place, within the club, to maintain compliance to the appropriate standards.

Poole owner Matt Ford added "My heartfelt thanks must be passed to Nigel Leahy who has acted with great haste and professionalism in this matter, I have always made clear how having the right team off tack gives us the tools to be successful on track, and this is a clear indication of that. We now hope that Chris' application is seamless and we all look forward to seeing him take his place with us in March."
