2024 FIXTURES REVEALED

Speedway racing returns to Wimborne Road after the winter break on Wednesday 20th March when Kyle Newman will be honoured with his Testimonial meeting. 

The 2024 Pirates will go into official team action nine days later with a Good Friday home encounter against Oxford, with a trip to Plymouth scheduled for Easter Saturday, both fixtures being part of Poole's BSN Series defence, with the visit to Oxford following on 3rd April before the Pirates return to Wimborne Road on the 10th for the final group match, their home fixture against Plymouth.

Having been drawn against Edinburgh in the Knockout Cup, Poole will host the Monarchs on Wednesday 24th April, with their trip to Scotland for the second leg planned for Friday May 3rd. 

The Pirates' Championship league assault begins at Berwick on May 4th before welcoming the division's newcomers Workington Comets to Dorset on May 15th.
Poole promoter Dan Ford has said "with the fixtures now released it really feels as if the season is now almost upon us. I think there is a better balance to our schedule this year, compared to last and with two Testimonials - Kyle's and Richard Lawson's, which is a Sunday meeting,  being wrapped around the known fixtures there is plenty to look forward to in a year where we are once again intent on trying to sweep the board. Some will look at our schedule and comment that June appears a bit sparse, but hopefully with progress in the knockout competitions then we will see more meetings slotted in to make our programme much busier."
